David Smith, of DVL Smith Ltd, knows all about how to help start-ups and small businesses to become successful. He himself founded a small business and grew this to become a substantial international agency.
He is a consultant to a number of major international organisations, helping them to become more customer focused, and he is also experienced in working with smaller businesses.
He is an experienced keynote speaker, lecturer and trainer. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire Business School. He is the author of several books and numerous papers on customer insight, winning many industry awards.
David holds a PhD from the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of the Institute of Business Consultants, and a Fellow of the UK Market Research Society. He is a former Chairman of the Market Research Society and a former Vice-President of ESOMAR – the worldwide body for customer insight professionals.
